Learn from your mistake about leaving the gate open. Post signs about your missing horse. I'm sure someone will spot it. Not too many wild horses running around anymore.

You do realize that if that horse causes an accident that you as the owner are responsible for the person that was involved. Just an FYI!!

Definately get out there and find it! If there a creek where you live, the horse could easily get caught up in the mud and get stuck. Could get caught up in fencing, etc. That horse needs your help to get back home. Notify the police so they can help and protect any drivers that could hit the horse and possibly kill it or themselves and call everyone you know that could help to go look. Be sure to check wooded areas well. Good luck!

First notify the authorities, next get some friends and family to search for the horse. Lastly be more careful when you open the gate.

INVEST IN ROPES!!

If your horse can fly.. then the gates aren't much use are they.. get some strong ropes and the next flying horse you get won't be able ot escape.. you could also do what most people do with pet birds and just mangle it's wings beyond repair so it can only ever think of flying for the rest of it's life as it hobbles around miserably..

if all these measures still seem ot fail.. resort to shoving your flying horse into a cage not much bigger than one full turning circle.. throw in a ladder to play with.. and feed him the same water and feed daily.. you will find a flying horse makes not only an economical but also a wonderful pet..

Get off the computer and go find him! The same thing happened around where I live and 3 horses got smacked by a car. The driver was seriously injured!

Err...comment to the people making flying jokes:

"Flown" in this sense is a perfectly acceptable word to describe fleeing. Fly is a verb that can also mean to flee or to escape.

get grain in a bucket so if you do spot him you can attract him. Call the cops so they can have people on patrol looking in that area when they are not on a call. and if you have friends with horses take them out even if it is on a leadrope walking while you look, they may nikker at each other.
