Yes it would be becase If you used composite cables on that tv you u play the wii in standard definition(480i), but if You used a component video cable on that tv, You will play the wii in middle definition(576i).

Look at your TV and see if you have the Green, Blue, Red plugs. If you do, then it's capable of component cables, but it looks like your TV is just a normal projection TV.

The best that the Wii is capable of is 480p. It can't go more than that.

576 is not recognized in the US. It's used in other countries. The only vertical lines that the US uses are 480, 720, and 1080.

properly dont get a hd television only for the wii, because the wii doesnt have hd compatibilities. yet a respectable television to play the wii on must be a 14 inch wide and 10 or 12 inch tall.

from what I read I think that T.V. is just a regular T.V.

You need a HDTV with at least 480i for the Wii

and the highest resolution the Wii can reach is 480i
it can't go over that because it wasn't made too

(I'de go with a 720p HDTV because it's good for any next-gen system and it's good for watching t.v. and movies on)
