i never understood this question. obviously everyone has a life. it may not be so exciting to one person but that doesnt mean the person youre referring "get a life" to thinks your life is so exciting either. i say live your life like you want, even if someone else thinks its a waste or stupid!

Sometimes, when you say "get a life", the life is referred to actually leaving the house and meeting real people. The opposite of what we're doing on here in other words.

When someone says to you "get a life", they are not asking you a question, they are making a statement. It is usually said
out of disgust or anger aimed at you by the one who says this.
For example: If I got irritated with you for some reason, or you
frustrated or bored me in some way then I'd probably tell you,
"get a life".
Most people who have nothing better to do than feel sorry for themselves, or those who just trudge along day after day, no
real focus or plans of any kind. These are the ones most likely to be told "get a life"!!!

Get a life is an American English idiom usually intended as a taunt. The phrase generally instructs its addressee to go out and make their way in the world, without being supported by outside sources such as parents or benefactors. It may also be directed at someone who is perceived as boring or single-minded like morons, to suggest they acquire some other, more practical interests or hobbies and get dates, find a job, move to their own house etc.

it's meant that what you did isn't right.
get the life with the real and the life should be walked by
yeah, it's true if we live with life that we want but sometimes we have to do something more serious and worth with our life now or next.
or may be they just didn't like with what you did. it's another meaning.
get a life... hahaha

I think it's used in such a context where the person is irritated by another, so when he says "Get a life!" to the other, he's telling him to not be such a loser?

I never really like that either
We already live that's why we can interact with each other
I never think we should say that, instead we could just say "get over it" or "c'mon, let's do other things..."
