They are adults I might add. So what if they don't like me, but why should they hurt him because of me?

Well My own daughter never even called or sent a card .My step daughter called brought a card,a cake and a small present(cresant wrench) and brought my granddaughter over to se me .I have a daughter who has 2 kids and never brought them to see me . At my age my kids and grandkids are the best presants I can have see me on my birthdays as this is all I really ask

It probably had nothing to do with you. I don't remember birthdays either. I don't even realize it is mine until the day is almost over. I do send gifts, but usually a month before as I can remember the month--but the actual day, forget it. I am lost when it comes to that.

Well maybe your husband or yourself should call them and find out how they are doing. Someone has to be the bigger of the two parties. I didn't talk to my dad for nearly 3 years because of some hateful things he said to me. Although he never apologized , one day I just decided to suck it up and call him and see how he was doing. Someone has to have the bigger heart in the ordeal and sometimes its better to put things to rest for the greater good. Good luck.

Maybe it is just that they havethe reason to be mad at him, since you trapped him and took him awayfrom them, or do you think we or they like havin' "stepparents" who only get on the kid's lives to ruin them.

Maybe they are upset with their dad for being with you, for whatever reason. Maybe his kids don't care about him due to his behavior.
