Because ignorant people will believe anything they're told and are too lazy to do firsthand research. It's easier to be influenced by a movie than to dig for facts.

I beleive that conspiracy is defined by two or more people engaging in a plot or plan, thus the term applies to any crime envovling more than one party. I think the reason so many have arrisen is two fold, a mistrust of the government, and it sells news papers and books! I bleive the fulll truth about 9-11 has yet to be disclosed, as well as Ok City Bombing, Waco, Ruby Ridge.

1) There are a lot of conspirace claims (they don't rise ti the level of theory) because there a lot of nuts out there.
2) I don't recall conservatives ever doing this.
3) I don't believe a word of it.

It is fun and exciting to theorize about conspiracy. When I was young I enjoyed talking with friends about all kinds of things along those lines. UFOs were a hot topic at one time. The moon landing was another.
Churchill said something like: If you are not liberal when you are young, you have no heart. If you are not Conservative when you are grown, you have no brain.

To explain what they want to hear and not the truth. And no I do not believe in them. I think it is the extremist that make up these theories because I have friends on the left that don't believe them either.

it's a great way to rationalize the hatred they feel deeply and can't admit...they need a "straw man" to rally against.
