Oh man..... Okay....
Sunday on Showtime. Dexter. It's about a blood spatter analyst who is a serial killer in his spare time. I loved the books by Jeff Lindsay and the show is just as good - quirky and a little morbid, but it makes you think. American Film Institute just voted it one of the 10 best film and TV creations of the year.
Monday on Fox. Prison Break. Everytime you think you have this show figured out, you get thrown for another loop. It's like The Fugitive crossed with the X-Files conspiracy theory - but no aliens. Currently in Season 2 - you should see Season 1 to get the backstory.
Tuesday on Fox. House. Show about a team of doctors who work on unusual and rare cases. The lead doctor is cranky, has horrible bedside manner and is a bit of a perv, but he is a damn good doctor.
Tuesday on CW. Veronica Mars. College age female detective - more Sam Spade than Nancy Drew. Lots of humor and pop culture references, but this girl thinks around corners. Always a season long arc, and episodic one as well.
Wednesday on Fox. Bones. Another series based on books. It's about a forensic pathologist who consults with the FBI on cases where the body can't be identified through normal means. Kind of like CSI in some respects as far as gore, but there's a lot of humor too.
Thursday on CW. Supernatural. Imagine Route 66 crossed with the X-Files, with a twist of Point Pleasant and Buffy. It started with 2 brothers on a road trip to find their dad, who was off hunting the demon that killed their mother 22 years earlier. Now the brothers fight the demon on their own. Lots of pop culture and brotherly snark, plus a hot car, guns, knives, and horror movie monsters. (One of the best and most underrated shows on TV!)
Thursday on CBS. CSI (the original Vegas). It's in it's seventh season, but you can catch on to who's whom pretty quickly. Crime and forensics show.
Coming up on Sci-Fi is the Dresden Files (not airing yet, but soon). Based on the novels by Jim Butcher, it's about a detective in Chicago, who happens to be a wizard. Like if Harry Potter grwe up watching old film noir. Can't say about the show, but the books are funny and exciting. Harry is always getting into major scrapes and quipping as he tries to extricate himself. My summary doesn't do them justice. He fights the seelie fae, vampires, ghouls, necromancers, demons, etc.

If you want a wicked show, i would suggest the OC. Its an awesome show. Its in season 4 now but its still as good as ever. Money and beauty are the Key values in the southern California coastal enclave. Ryan a troubled kid from a pov area gets taken in by his rich lawyer and shown a life of the riches. He didn't settle in very well at the start getting off on the wrong foot with everyone. The Cohan's a willing to give him a Chance and change his life, for the best. There has been lots of twists and many love triangles, peer pressure generational conflict and much more. But in this season they have grown up and gone there own ways, there in colloge now and getting there lives together. It shows the life's of 4 friends dealing with the loss of a best friend and girl friend, and a mother and sister dealing with it too. the show is excellent i haven't missed an episode. You will love it 2. I can relate to most stories, it suits every age not just teen ages. If your unsure because it season 4 i would recommend, hiring a few episodes from season one. Please give it a go. And tell me if you like it or now. :)

On January 19, my favorite TV show called Psych will be on USA network. Its about a fake psychic detective who works for the police. Also on FX there's That 70's Show, which is kinda hard to describe, but it's a really hilarious. Supernatural and Smallville are on the CW. Smallville is about Clark Kent in his teenage years, and Supernatural is about two brothers fighting demons among other evilness. The Colbert Report, on Comedy Central, is an interestingly funny news show. I'd tell you the exact channels, but they might be different where you live.
