I had a real tree once or twice when I was a child. I have not had a real tree in well over twenty years. Also, most of the people I know and visit state they have never had a real tree Many believe that it is a fire hazard.

My husband was raised a Jehovah's witness so he never celebrated Christmas as a child. He went away from the church and when he remarried for the 2nd time & had kids with her he started to celebrate christmas. He has never put up a real tree because he is allergic to pine trees

I have never had a real tree. I'm not sure why, except we always use the one that we have to drag out of the attic every year. Sometimes I think a real tree would be easier. I don't even know of any place around here that sells them though.

That would be my husband, well... until he met me. His parents have always had their fake tree ever since the 60's. Grandpa is phobic about fires, and refused to have one. Our first year living together he told me it was his first 'real Christmas tree'.
I also found out that he never ate string cheese, or fruit loops. That poor depraved child.

In Australia we never had a real one. The climate is much too hot to have a real tree.

However I was born & raised in Bulgaria & there people have only real Christmas trees. Its awsome.

What a sad thought.

We didn't have a lot of cash at times growing up so my Dad would get 2 cheap scrawny trees, cut branches from one, drill holes in the other's trunk and stick 'em in- viola! a perfect tree.

Not me. Of course, some people do not believe in buying trees or even Christmas so I don't think it's bad to not have one.
