How much notice realistically, and legally do i have to give him? I own the house. I am asking him to move out soon because he wants his son to move in with us, I say no, this is causing a lot of tension between us, but I will probably wait till after the holidays to tell him he needs to move. There is no violence going on bewtween him and I

He has been very uncaring and inconsiderate towards me lately. he went out with his friends when I was sick, he played loud music when I was tryng to study, etc. I think all 3 of us will be happier if he leaves.

There are no legal issues since it is your house and he doesn't pay rent to a landlord and his name isn't on a lease. Just tell him that you want him to move out ASAP. If he takes too long, give him a date that you want him out by and tell him you will remove his belongings and change the locks.

People with children only cause problems. Next time, find a man who doesn't have a stupid kid running around.

If it's your house, tell him soon!!!!!! This is mid-December. Give him a notice that he will have to be out by, say January 10. Get a court order, too, to get him evicted if necessary, or you'll have his son in there too. If he's a real man, he'll take no for an answer, and leave. If not, you'll probably have to toss his stuff out, and change the locks when he's at work..

Tell him to move out Pronto!!! The nerve to bring in an added space to an already cramped one. Does he pay the bills? Does he share a lot in the expenses?

Now then again! What is the situation? Where did the boy come from? Where is his mom? For the boys sake understand also his fate. You wouldn't want to leave him in the cold. He needs also a Dad. and probably you s a new mom.

It's a tight situation and I wouldn't want to guess on your compassion and reponsibility but talk to him well about it coz if he doesn't share then kout of the door he goes!

It seems this realtionship is in a no win area.If your not legally married and depending what written agreement you have.A 30 day notice is reasonable. If he starts giving you problems its advices to get a restraining order and also put a notice in local paper letting him know he has 30 days to remove articals or will be placed at the curb. Protect your legal rights.

If his name isn't on the paperwork, there is no time. You could set his things out on the curb tomorrow and there is nothing he can do about it.

But to be fair, you might want to give him a month to find a new place. That way you don't end up with a big ugly fight for kicking him out when he has no place to go.

The law states that if a person lives with you at least 2 weeks, you have to have them evicted.

Notice? You just tell him now that you want him out after the holiday season.

It depends on the state. It is usually 30 days if it is not written on paper.

It would be nice of you to give him enough time to find his own place. A month's notice is more than sufficient for that.
