I would say mine was when I was 3 years old and I was denied access into my mother's recovery room after a C-section. I was hysterical! How could I forget.... Back then (1985), women stayed in the hospital for one week after giving birth by C-section. Those must have been the longest one week ever in my little life.

I was sick in the hospital. Mom says it was when I was 2. I remember looking out my large hospital room window and watching my parents driving away. I watch for a long time. Then glanced up and saw my Aunt at the door. She was a nurse. I climbed down fast and ran out the door and into the hallway to look. Another nurse said it was just her there and no one else, so I must have only thought I saw her. Mom says my aunt was there, she didn't want me to start crying all over again, so ducked into the next room.

I guess I was about a year and a half when I was in the hospital with pneumonia. I remember playing with another boy. We were jumping up and down on our beds as the sunshine was streaming in through the big windows.

I also remember going into a kitchen with a nurse after wanting a glass of milk.

I was maybe 3 years old and I was locked out of the house, back door, barefoot, night and I was screaming to be let in. Oh, and it was on purpose.
I was same age and eating toast standing in the kitchen and a neighbor came over and said something about my crumbs on the rug and I said that was where I kept them.
But believe it or not I clearly remember standing in my crib to get taken out and remember the location of the room in the house I moved out of at 5 years old.

Being held in my parents' arms as an infant and toddler. I remember my Mom cradling me in her arms. I enjoyed popping my head through the crook of her arm to look around. I don't remember what I saw. I remember seeing the upside down environment move as my mum rocked/walked with me.

I remember Dad holding me up to his shoulder, in the burp position, but not burping me. My parents were having a party in their New York apartment. Dad was consoling me because I was so shy. I just wanted to fall asleep there in the safe zone.

I remember teething on my grandfather's furniture because I felt compelled to chew as much surface as I could. These were satisfying things I did. I don't know why. The emotions and secondary experiences help me to remember.

I remember when I finally let loose and ran for the first time. I was free and elated. I ran and ran, the bigs concerned and chasing after me. Until I became afraid because I didn't know how to stop. I remember the banister that I fit under; the brass braces that supported it. I wouldn't stop crying because I ran into the wall, bumped my head and fell down.

Wow. I remember my Dad's cat Jinx used to attack me every morning in the New York apartment when I got out of bed dragging my security blanket behind me. I was so afraid of that cat. It used to bite.
