I prefer the original and SVU. I don't really care for the CI because I can't stand the male detective because he think he knows everything. And the lady is just there to make him look good. Any thoughts.

I agree entirely re: CI. Why not just call it "Law and Order: Super Detective"? It's always a ridiculously obscure insight or a clue that no one in their right mind would ever get. It doesn't fit in with the believable nature of the other shows.
I guess I'm in the minority when I write that I prefer the original to SVU. Part of it may be that I've been a regular since the early 1990s when Michael Moriarty had the Sam Waterston role, but I like the variety and the acting by Waterston more than the SVU show. I like SVU, but the acting (or maybe the writing) seems a bit more melodramatic at times. Also, at times, the child and young adult abuse episodes on SVU are a bit much for me.

I totally agree with you about CI. My personal preference is SVU. The original is good also, but I just like the whole cast alot better on SVU.

I totally agree with you SVU is my Fav show of all time.. before it came out it was the Original Law and Order I also like Law and Order Trial by Jury.. it is pretty good.. yeah if they would change that male detective on CI it would be a great show as well I think.... good question Merry Christmas

Law and Order SVU is the best
I love SVU sooo much!!!!
love watching SVU, their story line is great and so are the actors. Mariska Hargitay is sooo pretty, and Chris Meloni and her go so well together(and Chris Meloni lives in my town when hes not in NYC, its just 15minutes away from my house!!). I'm soo glad Olivia is back at SVU. It wasn't the same without her. I love all the main characters since the show starter including Alex, and Casey, and Munch and Fin, and Monique Jeffries, and ME Melinda Warner, and Dr. George Huang. Without all of them the show wouldn't be worth watching. And its soo weird because even though all their episodes deal with sex crimes somehow all the episodes are all unique in their own way.
I am an SVU fanatic, i have the seasons on DVD, and i watch them all the time!!!

CI - I like SVU and was a loyal watcher until the story lines got too dark for me.
I love CI - although with all the changes that it's gone thru recently - adding Chris Noth and his second partner - Jamey Sheridan and Courtney Vance leaving - it remains to be seen. Am not at all fond of the new Capt. It is the team of Goren and Eames that keeps me watching.

I have to say I like the characters on SVU more lately but I do love D'Orfinio on CI. He is awesome, but he hasn't been on it all the time lately. That's an instant tune out for me!

I think SVU is the BEST...but I am beginning to tolerate CI...yes, he does think he knows it all, but he actually DOES solve most the cases..kind of like a savant.....you have to admit, it's almost creepy how his portrayal is so realistic...makes you wonder what he's like off the screen...
