My mom has been 'gone' for nearly 7 years now and I still have dreams with her in them. They aren't of things that truly happened in life, that I know of or remember, but she is there all the same. Sometimes she is talking with me, other times she is talking with others.
Some people say that the dead will come to your dreams because you miss them and are thinking of them. Others say that the dead are coming to your dreams to let you know in their own way that they are ok, that they see you, and that they are watching over you. I believe it is a mixture of the two. I still, to this day, think of my mom almost daily. I miss her so much. There are still times I wish I could call her on the phone and let her know how my life is, how much it has changed, how much I have changed, etc. I do believe that she can see me, how I am now, how my life is, etc, so she knows.

is this like you just thinking of them or having supernatural feelings of presence? Well, you just miss the ones you love, its very normal to feel sad and feel that they are with you, we all want to believe they can see us, and see that we are doing fine and let them see that we still care for them even though they have been gone for so long. It is the minds way of dealing with pain, making you think of the good times that make you sad, its strange. Its hard to explain because death is hard to explain and a scientifical unprovable thing. Personally i have the same problem with a girl i new that died, i see hear face and think of her all the time and she has been dead for years. I even HEARD her voice say hello to me over my shoulder when I was outside alone, who knows....its a mystery....the answers will come someday

Often, it is because we are thinking of them, they come into our mind, especially in our sleep. Our mind keeps associating with the people and events and is always working round the clock.
The paranormal view is that the souls/spirits/guides keep in touch with us and those of us who are more sensitive that others can sense them more than others.
Check which of the above two cases you belong to!

I don't think everyone experiences this. Perhaps your subconscious feels that there is unfinished business or a need for closure. If it happens during waking hours, seek help - this is not normal.

That's just the real life after death...as long as someone remembers, they are not gone.
