But not all public health programs are in schools of public health. My program at USC was integrated into the Keck School of Medicine.

What field of public health are you interested in? I did epi/biostat. Not all schools have the programs you might want to study. I started out looking for programs in infectious disease, but not many ID-epi programs are available.

Also consider location. Are there public health jobs nearby? You might need to score an internship or practicum, so it helps to study public health where there's a lot of PH work available.

I know Emory University in Atlanta, GA has a FANTASTIC program.....It is a private school so it is pricey but it is a beautiful school.
