My soon to be ex is taking me for all my $. I work hard and protect others in my line of work as a police officer. She cheated on me with my best friend and left me for the dirt ball. I would love tp punch him but why lose my job for a dirt ball. She is not much better cheating on me. I have a 6 month old baby. I will be broke rest of my life. I still have my house payment to make. Women win in this system!

My brother fought for custody of his kids many years ago in Wisconsin. It was an uphill climb, but he did win full custody. Things are better in most states today, recognizing a father's equal right to his children. You need a good lawyer to advise you, but you should go for it.

As for alimony.... not if she cheated. You can fight that too. And just because she's fighting for it, doesn't mean she will get it.

Child support is always given and paid by the non-custodial parent. I suggest you get custody and she would be paying you!

Best Wishes,

Sue

Lets just say that I understand and appreciate the difficulties of your profession.

If she marries said dirt ball you wont have alimony to deal with just child support.

Also if you can afix a specific charge to him apart from "dirt ball" which is not on the books.. It will help you in a custody dispute.

IMHO.. Be indirect and professional in regards to things. Maybe find a good P.I. to dig up some really good reasons why you would be a better guardian than them!

You should talk to a lawyer about suing your "friend" for alienation of affection.....you case would be that his intentions towards your wife caused her to stop loving you......sue for the exact amount she is asking for.....also, you should go for custody of your child. Settle for joint, but go for full. Lock up your guns before she can make an issue of it......don't loose hope. While the women seem to win at first, if she is as dispecable as you say, then the child will find that out and gravitate towards you. Keep the bonds strong between father and child and try not to get mad.....get EVEN!!

Don't just sit there and complain because your problems are not going to get any better and you know it. Although lawyers at this time are very expensive thats the only way to go. You need to find a better lawyer and have them fight for your rights. Dont just think about the money because yes a divorce is expensive but about the baby aswell. If you feel that you can be a better full time parent for that child then go for it.

I often agree that women do seem to win in this particular system...not sure why. It is just as unfair as men making more money than women in the same career, etc.

Your ex and her lover are both sleazy dirt balls...but in the end, you are gaining something so much more valuable than $...and that is your LIFE! To live with integrity and happiness...she can only take that from you if you let her--(don't let her)

Good luck to you, sir--and thanks for keeping the public at large a safer place :)

i noticed your first sentence was about money. that speaks volumes to me, for it shows me where your priorities are, the first thought. Sad.

you will not be broke for the rest of your life either. you will however, have to put your own needs and wants aside until they are 18 or done college.

I don’t know why she left you, only she does. But the kids should not have to suffer in any case, for any reason, and that is what the court will look at.

I do know this; if a man is mean to her woman… she leaves.

Just my opinion, experience and observation.

Try asking the court for joint custody of the baby. You keep the child the same amount of time she does.
Another thing is that you can talk to your attorney to see if you can sue her for her infidelity if that was the cause of your marriage ending.

I feel for you man. Friend was in similar situation. Best way to piss her off is ....sell the house for whats owed on it, give all her sh!t to goodwill, find somebody to kick his @ss, give him a ticket once or twice a month for whatever(anymore than that and they may nail you for harassment)(better yet have all your cop buddies stop him.everyday, twice a day, he will know its payback time when he is walking his @ss to work.)if i were you i would get a blood test to see if the baby is actually yours!!!

If you don't want to pay child support then go win custody of the kids.
