1 horsepower-hour = 2684520 joules. A 3HP motor will do 3 horsepower-hours in 1 hour. Therefore 2684520 X 3 = 8053559 joules.

1 hp is about 745 Watts or 745 joules/second. So 3 hp produces 3 times the power and multiply by the time (in seconds) to get the amount of work in joules.

it can do the same amount of work as 3 horses of considerable stealth pulling a plough in the fields.. which is what one unit of horse power is.. so you will have three field ploughing horses.. of considerable stealth at your pisposition every single hour..

you will need at least 50 hp to drive a 2 tonne car at 80km/h as a point of reference..
