I have no one to get me any Christmas gift. Long story but I have no family, I'm at home all the time so I don't know many people at all. For some time I've been forced to practically become a shut in. I won't get a single thing but I just want something, anything, so what do I do?

be nice to someone u want...then give that person a present..if that person is nice enuf he/she will also give u a present...if everythng fails,go to the mall buy somethng for urself...wrap it..put it under the xmas tree and open it at xmas tym....look surprise!merry christmas...

Stop thinking about yourself. If you want friends, you have to be a friend. Get out of your house and meet someone. If, for some reason, you can't leave your house, make a friend online. But if you just don't leave because you don't feel like it, you need to take the step outside. Join a book club or a social group of some kind. I don't know enough about you to know what you would be interested in or what kinds of groups are available to you. Look around and do something for someone else. Find someone lonely like yourself and make them smile. Christmas is not about what you get. It's about the celebration of Christ's birth. Since we can't wrap a present and give it to Christ, we give gifts to everyone else. You get a better feeling when you give. I have friends and family, but I don't get much on Christmas either. I just make sure that I give as many gifts as I can and make the entire season memorable and enjoyable for my friends and family. If you sit and feel sorry that no one gave you a present, you will only give yourself a miserable Christmas. Enjoy the things you have and share them with others. Merry Christmas and Good Luck!

When I moved to an area where there was no family, I started going to the Salvation army church. They had a craft group that was my whole social life. Six people gave me gifts at Christmas from that group, it was great. I really felt loved. You could give a gift to a couple of neighbours and see if they return the favour. I don't know how old you are but I'm mid 40's and I get more fun out of giving. Also, it's definitely O.K. to buy yourself a present. Best Wishes.

To get a gift, you have to give a gift. Go out and give of your time- volunteer at a nursing home or animal shelter. Give of your talents- make something you can donate, such as baby blankets to a hospital or scarves to a homeless shelter. Give of yourself- go visit someone in a retirement home who is equally alone and simply lend a kind ear.
