You're correct, sometimes. Justice is often unfair, if you're including the legal hell also. Spouses can also put you through a lot of emotional hell as well. If this has anything to do with custody, from what I've seen, there's still a tendency to favour the mother--although it's getting better. Be sure you have truly good representation, & don't settle for less. For the sake of your baby girl, do the best you can to avoid manipulations & other nasty things with your--soon to be?--ex-wife. I wish you luck.

I am a woman, but I think you are right. I have seen 2 men, one of them my brother, nearly destroyed by wives who committed adultery, left and took their children, took enough of their income that they couldn't support themselves, and damaged their relationship with their children, who are now growing up in the home of the man she committed adultery with. It's not right, and the system is one-sided. But the good news is there is an ever-growing movement to change it. There are groups working hard to pass, among other things, Shared Parenting laws, and to restructure the child support system. I personally think there should also be some recourse for men whose wives committed adultery. (And for women whose husbands did too!) Try to find and get into one of these organizations and see if they can help you.

I agree with you. I've heard that in some states, judges still automatically give custody to the women unless the men can prove abuse or something. That's absurd.

yes they do just keep on fighting. fight for visitation, fight for custody. Men have rights in a divorce so don't ever give up your right to see your daughter. Let your x go, she's not worth it, if she cheated with your best friend. just do what you need to do for your child.
good luck and god bless
by the way, my son fought and won custody of his son, my grandson

in a way you're right..men have way less power than women especially when it comes to children. If i was you i would get in touch with a real good family law attorney and fight for custody of your child. Go for it!!!!

If you are getting divorced make sure you have lots of evidence it may make you have a stronger case. There will be issues of money and support that will arise so protect yourself! You will have to deal with them both for the rest of your life!

unfortunately the court system isn't yet fair when it comes to that sort of stuff between men and women....usually the woman wins out so if it is any consolation you are not alone.....alot of other men out there in your shoes.....but it will be worth the try if you should have to bring her to court. Good luck for you and your daughter.

You do have rights..get a good lawyer and get your rights granted by the court. You have the right to visitation and possibly even custody if she's unfit.
