No, but at this time of year, gift giving symbolizes the gift that God gave the world- His only Son.
Anyone can go out and just buy something or grab up a gift card; but it's the thought and time and talent put into a gift that truly makes it a "gift".

No, gifts are not really necessary unless the person you are talking about is materialistic. I would rather have something from the heart than something from a store shelf. But then, I am very different than most people.

Gifts are not necesssary nor mandatory. However many people are very materialistic. Most people though are perfectly happy with a warm hug or smile or simply kind words.

i don't need gift the biggest gift for me is wiz the one we love coz tobe wiz the one u love is the biggest gift as everyone want to be happy and i thnk if u wiz the one u love u will stay happy merry xmas
