Ja Rule did it. Aided by Fiddy Cent and Kevin Federline. (But there are a few rappers trying to resurrect hip hop music, bless em.)
Oh, and whoever said trance and tekkers is in... rave parties officially died and became crap circa 1998.

all of them in one way or the other.
hip hop was originally about having a good time in parties and speaking out about the state of affairs of life in general but it soon evolved into a debate over affluence, sex appeal and and so much more than the reason for its creation

Please don't tease me like that. Rap and hip-hop are responsible for most of the urban violence in major cities. They're horrible role models and bad influence to kids.
