She might not like it, but she was the one who messed up right? If you like the guy try it out, and if your friend is so mad at you that your friendship ends she wasn't your friend in the first place. Her mistakes should not stop you from pursuing happiness.

NO.. i had the same problem. My friend dated this guy and later on they broke up then he started like chasing me so much and wanting to date me. See if she is your real friend you dont even have to ask that question cause u wont even think about messing with ur friends b-f's. I ended up telling him no and he got mad at me for a while but i kept my friendship with her. That was more important to me than a guy. GUYS COME AND GO..BUT FRIENDSHIP SHOULD NEVER END! there will come a day when u need her, and u will not have her just for a dumb decision you made for a guy.

It is totally okay. But for a suggestion, try to talk to your friend to, and try to make her to understand that it just happen like that. Its a chemistry, who can blamed it? And by the way, she messed up with him, so maybe you could help him to heal the wound ;p goodluck

talk to your friend first before you make any action with this guy. at least you are giving her the respect she deserves and it won't be out of the blue for her. try to make it easier for her to understand where you are coming from.
i had a boyfriend who i broke up with years ago. and about a year later after we broke up my friend messed around with him. I wasn't mad at my friend I was more hurt because this guy meant a lot to me, he just wasn't standing up to the plate like he should have.
you need to think about everyone's feelings involved not just your own!

How bad do you want him? Are you willing to sacrifice your friendship for him? My best friend broke up with his girlfriend. He told me it was alright if I wanted to date her. I did. We hit it off! Four months later we were married. My friend got it into his head that we had been seeing each other behind his back while they were together. We hadn't. My friend didn't speak to me for five years. My friend and I get along now (although he's no longer my best friend). I have been married to her for 11 years now.

well in some groups no, but in others yes, it depends on how your friend will react, I'd ask her about it and see if she's fine with it, if it has been a while since they broke up, then I don't see why it would be an issue.

no don't go after him friends are better than boy friends because boyfriends just break up with you any way and you and your friend will no longer be friends if she tells you shes okay with it go for it but other than that leave it alone

If he knows you and her are close friends, maybe hes going for you as revenge or a "rebound date" for what she did.
I'd be cautious.
