I can remember the huge importance that was placed on it at school and I have retained all this knowledge only to unleash it on pub quiz night, but never for any practical reason

sure i used it to blow up a good portion of the school pool in high school.

lets just say it involved 2kg of sodium (i think - gee i am getting old) which reacts badly with water of any form.... oops

apart from that quizes is the only use and even then i only needed the first 20 elements

you watched the master last night didnt you?

yeah i use it to pick up.. men are so turned on by the word helium.....

not really i have no knowledge of the periodic table... what would i store useless information like that in my brain, that space is for memorising episodes of the simpsons

umm...ya...chem lab all the time...creating compounds, identifying solutions and everything else you can think of; i'm a chem major :)
