Thinking is real even though we don't actually act on everything we think. Dreaming is merely thinking by your unconsciousness.
Imagine that you have a bigger part of yourself, you don't even know about. Except that your dreams are telling you about your larger self.
Try to learn about your-larger-Self.

I am a lucid dreamer so my dreams are more vivid than my waking life...but all in all, they are a reflection of my waking self.
