i bought a Tag Heuer Monaco (the Chrono Steve Mcqueen one..) but I'm so NOT knowledgeable and wondering if there are certain markings i should look for to make sure it's the real deal?
It comes with papers and certificate.... should I even worry..or simply trust it's real!?

Take it to your local "creditable" jeweler and have them examine it. They can tell you if it's really "real" and the average price it's worth.

If you want an authentic watch, the best place to buy it is from a reputable jewelry store that sells them. There are so many people on Ebay who claim this and that so there is no way to verify what they're selling you is real.

If you are concerned, get it appraised. I am not paranoid but I personally would never trust a Ebay vendor becasue they can tell you anything and you are sol if they've lied to you.

Take it in to a jeweller or watchmaker. They have valuers that come in, and can tell if you have the real deal or a fake.
Having worked in a jewellery store, does it have a warranty? water resistency? does the sports dial turn anti-clockwise? is the back sealed on properly? do the links in the band look fairly solid, or are they flimsy? Those are just a few things you can look out for.

With all the fake stuff floating around these days I would take it and have it appraised and/or checked by a certified jeweler. Hang onto the name/etc of the person who sold it to you so if there's a problem you may have recourse under Pay Pal fraud.

Take it to to your jeweller PRONTO! There are plenty opf jewellers around in the malls who would tell you and not cahrge you for it. Now you might want to do it ASAP coz you can still return it. People have been conned in the net and the crooks get away with it coz of legality. Now you don't want him to say " you did not return it right away."Now GO!
