I love America even more now since I am physically out of the country. Being in another land makes me see how good American life is. But it makes me sad to see what is happening in the US. I often feel apologetic, like I have to defend my citizenship to others. The rest of the world (or at least where I am now), sees the US as a materialistic, decadent country led by a bullying maniac. Sorry about that, I say... Don't judge me by the politicians. I love America. I'm proud to be an American, just ashamed of our politics.

I didn't realize how lucky I was to live in America until I was in the Army and went to a third world country. I LOVE AMERICA!
