So yes, I am only a teenager. :|
I usually don`t get my parents anything special, but this year, I`m feeling...generous. :D
What do parents usually like? It`s gonna be a little awkward going up to the sales lady at the department store asking for adult stuff that I`m not even into. o_o;;;;;;;
I asked my parents once and looked through their closets and stuff, and found out my dad likes Polo things (but I was thinking of getting him Lacoste or something..) and my mom loves Chanel make-up and Dior fragrances.
Keep in mind they`re around like...40-50 age range. :x

What do you guys suggest for parents` gifts? T_T
Brands...or items from certain brands that you tend to favor?
If you ARE a parent....that would be very helpful. :xxx

To build on Sarabeth's idea, digital photo frames are quite expensive. What about getting them some nice, regular photo frames with pictures of the family together?

When buying for your parents, you want to keep in mind that they can buy themselves the shirts and the makeup and the perfume that they want. They don't need that from you. Your gift should show that you thought about them and that you care about them. Framed photos are a really nice way to show that.

Maybe a gift certificate for a family portrait?

The trick is to get them something that they will not get for themselves. Depending on your budget, the Dior and Polo may be a bit expensive. Try to look at Marshalls or TJ Maxx to find some good brands for a lot less money. Get yor dad a cool shirt and Mom a new purse maybe?

Skip the clothing, makeup, and fragrances. At their age, they can buy the things they need, and I'm sure they would rather have something from the heart.

Find something you can personalize for them:
Find a picture frame that you can put a family picture in, engraved (or engravable) with something nice.
A clock
Wine or champ age glasses
A family throw

Or give them something they can enjoy as a couple, like tickets to a movie or show, a gift certificate to a restaurant, dance lessons, etc... Things that they can do as a couple while you are out with friends, or whatever.

I might simply ask them. I informed my family a quantity of years in the past that I desired my Christmas items to visit charity from then on. Some of them left out it, however the family I used to be closest to took it critically. The high-quality present I acquired (and hold to acquire each and every 12 months) on Christmas morning used to be a decision from the director of a mens' safe haven close my grandparents' condominium, telling me that my grandfather had made a donation in my title. My mothers and fathers have made donations to such charities as Heifer International and Habitat for Humanity in my title for my birthday. Ask, and preserve asking. They'll say sure.
