Golly why on earth would your toilet get clogged,a bucket/pail handy and length of flexible tubing to push whatever away.

Make sure you pop into toilet during day and flush just to be sure all is working OK.

We have had 100 here and 2 poor toilets and did they get a work out but not once did they ever clog, cos we kept eye on kids especially...Good Luck.♥

This is a funny ? to me since im a plumber but anyways It has been asked to me many times.
If you dont have 2 WC (WC= Water Closet= Toilet)
ANd you only have 1 The best things you can have on hand are 2 things.
1 Plunger
2 A WC auger (You can buy this at home depot or lows for 20bucks.
You can get the 3ft or 6ft one
Its a cable thats in a metal pipe 3ft of the snake is hooked on the side of the unit when you pull the handle it pulls into the pipe on the bottom of hte unit is a curved rubber hose so you ca put it in the WC into the trap this prevents scratchs in the WC and then you turn the handle while you push down this will make the snake go through the WC into the main line (The head of the snake is about 1 1/2 round some smaller some not. But this will clear out your WC without a problem and it will get out alot of paper or toy cars, tampons, markers and so on.
It is a good thing to have on hand anytime of the year.
And 1 more thing.
Make a sign and put on your bathroom door.
Be very nice with your words and how you write your note be funny with it and just ask people to watch what they flush and tell the kids if they flush a toy in the WC that the WC monster will come and get them.. LOL (dont say that but you know what I mean)
Goodluck and Merry X-Mas
If you need any other help drop me a line at kos101@yahoo.com
PS- If your worried about your main line blocking up.
You could buy a machine but there not cheap and you have to know how to use them.
But if you have had problems in the past with it like roots and you have not had it done in a few yrs Have it dne again. Make sure you ask them to run a full 4inch blade to clear the line.
also Check to see who gives you the best warranty alot of companys will give you a 6month on the main line so if it backs up in 6 months it will be done for free. (Roto Rooter) Used to do this But I dont know if they do anymore. Since im a plumber myself I dont use anyone i do it myself

Have a 100' steel snake (you can buy them at the hardware store) on hand, find your cleanouts, and have fun. If you will leave a note in the restroom to please not stuff the toilet with toilet paper, you shouldn't have a problem anyway. That is the source of most clogs - women mostly putting too much paper in the toilet. It forms a solid clog, and then you have the backup. Have a trash can in each bathroom to insure that they have a receptacle to place it in. Good luck - clogged drains on a holiday are no fun.

It is always good to have a Contingency plan - the Chinese way is fairly practical. An improved version could be something like this:
Get lots of tall thick hedge plants (1.5m high) to form an enclosure around a section of your backyard, dig a fairly deep hole, have a platform over the hole - for obvious reasons. Now that you got the idea, don't forget to have the water hose close by and of course "Instructions for your Guests".

can you hire a portable loo?
If in Queensland you know the saying
If its yellow let it mellow
If its brown flush it down
we are short of water.
but you can buy those blue things for the loo because that hides the yellow
& you can say the above to your guests if you're game lol
