Because they missed the point to the silly question which was to get a laughter response. And when this happens to me and I to add (that was a joke) and then sometimes they might start to get it but still usually not so I get the kick out of it.

most people are afraid someone is really that stupid. there is a world of garbage out there and its not hard to suppose people are serious about their personal insanities. yes im sure they felt you were serious.
