Claire's has some really cute jewelry that is usually on sale, like 3 bracelets for 5 dollars. They also have really cute, age-appropriate items like makeup, movie memorabilia, room decor, and hair accessories. A lot of little things gives her more to open, so get lots of little things, like lip glosses, picture frames, or pieces of jewelry. Also, Target has some really cute, trendy clothing for reasonably priced. Why not buy her a cute top with some earrings and a necklace to match?Good luck!

M magazine is a cool magazine for girls that age. It's not too racey, it's not all about heartthrobs and sex, it actually has some really neat articles.
I think it's about $14.00 for a year, you could get her that, a CD, and maybe a perfume set from your local drug store (inexpensive and just as nice!). Get a copy of the magazine and wrap it up in a box, and let her know she'll be getting it from now on.

10 year old boy - nerf makes a lot of fun toys in the $10-15 range. 13 year old girl - gift card to target, she will love the money and is probably very into make-up (which you would not want to pick out for her), write what its for on the gift card if you want it to be more personal.

i am kinda in the same spot. my doughter is 12 . maybe some jewelry?maybe she would get into maken her own from beads and such? some things to make a fashion statment?new carry bag to put some lip glosses in ?i tryd a coupon book i made.... each card differ that she can give you for some time off .like no dish washing tonight?write some things on each card that when she desides to use that card you will do that chore for her instead , mine likes off time to time? some thing gift wrap'd from your past you think she would love as much as you did?old braclets,earings?a couple idea's fr you wish you luck.

The best thing to give a girl is clothes, make-up, jewellery, perhaps a gift certificate.
For a tom-boy, you might want to give something that she's into, like a soccer ball, or a helmet for riding...if she's into one of those sports.

Kids love music. If you have a computer you can download I tunes for a buck a piece. Get them a gift card for what you can spend and then let them download it all and make their own CDs

if not take her their...listen close!
....
if that isn't a fast enough solution try going to the dollar store. Buy her hair clips, knick knacks and other trinkets.
