You could show a blue-collar worker or something that would suggest that such as a hard hat, hammer, or something along those lines. Another type of "grunt" is the military grunt. but looking at your site I don't know if that would work.

OH MAN, I could go on for days about what you could design for "local grunts", but I'm just gonna tell ya what i'd do. I say a pig/hog in a hard hat and coveralls carrying a hammer or some other tool or construction material, grunting. Put that image in a circle with "Local Grunts" around the top of the circle and your slogan around the bottom of the circle.
