I'm 16yr old girl and I'm sick of my nose. I would get plastic surgery but I'm 16 so I don't really think thats an option. I've read on here that you could use makeup to make it look smaller but my nose looks more ashley simpson style. Is that option for people who have wide noses??

Help me please.

BTW... Don't say "learn to live with it" or something lame like that cause I hear that from my parents.

Learn to live with it....until you are 18. Then you can get the plastic surgery if you want.

Just make sure you are certain that's what you want to do before you get plastic surgery. I, too, have a big nose which I prefer to call "Roman" and I'm a 16-year-old girl (almost 17 - one month more!). In middle school, I used to really hate my nose and I was really self-conscious because of it and I didn't exactly "learn to live with it" but as I got older, it just wasn't as important anymore. It's also a self confidence issue - most of my friends have little "cute" noses and I really didn't want to be different. Then I realized that being different and having a more unique look gave me an edge that my friends didn't have. I've also been asked out a few times in the last year so I know I can still get guys regardless of my big nose. I'm really not trying to convince you not to get plastic surgery because it is entirely your choice in 2 years, but I just want you to be sure and make sure you are secure in the reasons why you want plastic surgery. A lot of your ideals and views will change as you get older; make sure this is one that's going to stay.

Your 16... That's a hard age to be, I wouldn't want to do it again.

You’re not through growing yet tho. The bones in your face will continue to grow for several more years, and yes, maybe your nose too.

The thing is... learn to carry it with confidence and come up with confident little comebacks for the people insensitive enough to comment.

2 important points...

1.) The girl that broke my poor little heart worse than it's ever been broke had a pretty big schnoz. (…and I’m a damn good lookin’ guy… lol.)

2.) A really cute girl I dated (with the cutest little button nose) turned me completely off when she reveled that she had a nose job.

I think most guys don't like fake stuff.

Ok, maybe I should only speak for myself.

Face surgery… OMG!

Breast augmentation... Icky.

Hair color… Come on… unless you can’t live with the grey and then go with your original color.

Maybe I’ve gotten off on a rant here but I think it all comes down to building confidence in you.

If you live through High School you will start to develop real relationships with the people that will most likely love you for the rest of your life.

Don’t short change them

One last thought…

Nose job or not… your future daughter may have your nose.

Do you want her to think it’s something that needs to be fixed?

i'm greek & i have.. a greek nose. the most dominate feature on my face. all through high school i wanted to get a nose job, ew i hated it, this that and all you say now. my mom was totally against and everyone else was, too. all my family + friends just kept telling me i'm so beautiful with what God gave me. I know it does sound lame, but now i'm 21, i have an ethnic boyfriend (Middle Eastern) and he loves me the way i am, just as everyone had did the same. I'm sure you are beautiful , too . so dont let something like that make you feel ugly. if people dont like you the way you are, then screw them. + if you had enough people around you making you feel that way, then maybe you will change your mind about a nose job and such. i say wait until you are at least my age to either keep it or change it!

When you get older, you will understand that YES your parents are the smartest people you know...they unfortunately know what is best for you and normally know 'all' of the answers. As their daughter, you just feel as if they were trying to control you, etc. Really, it just all boils down to boosting your self esteem and learning to feel good about yourself....society makes us feel like we have to look a certain way. If you have an Ashley Simpson nose, you must be beautiful...I Don't think her nose is too big at all!!! Please, you are only 16 and believe it or not, your body will grow into it...your face will grow, etc....don't get into a rush.

Steps
-Wash your face with a gentle facial cleanser. If you are already wearing makeup, wash it off. It's easiest to start with a clean slate.

-If you want to use any cover-up to hide scars, blemishes, or acne, now would be a good time to do so.

-Now time for blush. If you have fair skin, try a light pink. Olive skin can use golden pink. Dark skin should use berry shades, and tawny skin should go with the browner shades of the spectrum.

-(See tips to find out what shape your face is.) Oval, square, and heart-shaped faces should apply blush from the apples of the cheeks up to the temples. Round faces should apply blush from the corners of the mouth to the temples. However, when trying to make your nose look smaller, it's best to apply blush closer to your nose to get small look.

-To draw attention away from your nose, try exciting shades for lips or smoky eyes- something that brings your eye somewhere else. Be careful only to highlight one feature- otherwise this can turn out tacky or outdated.

Tips
-Brush all your hair away from your face and tie it back or use a headband. With a lipstick or some sort of eyebrow pencil, trace the outline of your face. Now see if it is oval, square, heart-shaped, or round.

-If you use bronzer, you should apply this instead of blush, following the same areas.

-It is best not to have any nose rings or studs, as these draw attention to your nose.

Good Luck

I'm not going to say "Learn to live with it" but I AM going to say, don't worry about what other people think about you. I mean, I'm kind of self-conscious about how I look, too, I'm really short, like 5'1, and I get tired of people thinking that I'm younger than I really am because of my height. I can't even get plastic surgery for that. Just be happy with who you are-none of us are perfect, and your true friends won't care what kind of nose you have.

I wouldn't get plastic surgery if I were you because being natural is a good thing. If you get plastic surgery you have to live with being fake for the rest of your life. So think about it.
