No, they are not right to talk about you. Probably they say those things because they can't find anything worthy to bully you about.

In the US it is common for kids to leave home at 18, but all over the world a lot of kids are expected to stay at home until they get married. I think it's great that you're being so responsible -- I'm even slightly concerned that you may be too responsible. Make sure you're having some fun, too, ok? 'Cause you're only gonna have to be more responsible as you get older.
Be proud of yourself and try to ignore those petty people.

Well because to most people that is sad. A man finishes developing at age 21 , By age 18 they're most likely out of the house. It doesn't matter if you pay the bills and if you work. You're a grown man. Grown men don't need their mothers to baby them. I hope you move out soon. I hope you have a fiance before you turn 30.

This is comming from a teenager. My mother isn't paying for my college since I can goto it for free , hopefully. If not I'm paying for it. When I'm 18 I'll be out of the house. I'll have a job an apartment and a car and be going to college.

I lived with my mom to get through school. I couldn't get enough in student loans to live on my own, plus I could help her with her bills. You can be proud of yourself for putting yourself through college and helping out. Some people are going to say bad things about you (and anyone else) no matter what, so do what you feel is right. Best of luck to you!

I applaud you! I have a child your age living at home, working full time and going to school (and paying the costs, including some rent to me). In this day and age, if you're trying to pay for apartments and utilities and gasoline and food and insurance and clothing and laundry, HOW can you afford to finish your education? If it's a good situation for you to live at home, get your education, save your money, and help your parents, seize the opportunity! LEECHES are another story, but you don't sound like one. Ignore comments of ignorant people that don't know you or your situation.

Just ignore them sweetie. They are probably jealous. People who speak bad of other people are highly insecure. They will look for any reason to tear someone down in order to build themselves up in the process. These people aren't your friends and they aren't worth your time. Just let them go.

I applaud your efforts, and you have my respect. It is very hard to work your way through college. Keep doing what you are doing. You are on the right path, and you will succeed.
