All the shingles on the roof are a grey color. The stain is fairly color less. The shingles look wet where the stain is when the surrounding shingles look dry. The stain came from me pouring coffee and other liquids out my second floor window. How can I get rid of the stain without damaging the shingles? I was thinking of using a bleach solution but I am afraid of permanently staining the shingles where I pour the bleach. Do you think that the snow and rain will eventually get rid of the stain?

Unfortunately coffee IS a stain, it is tannic acid. If the stain has bitten in, it will be difficult to repair. BUT, if I'm not mistaken, you can buy the shingle granules (the stuff that makes them the color they are) in packets. So, you can spread a little roof patch over the affected shingles, sprinkle on the granules, and voila! You should be back in business.

Poor dog. Hope it wan an twist of fate. Try cleaning soap & water. Peanut butter will make it worse on the grounds that now you have got to dispose of that too. Poor puppy wish the espresso used to be no longer boiling sizzling.
