It doesn't matter how old you are.. I had been out of H.S. for almost 8 yrs and just last year I decided to go back. I got a 4.0 GPA! Yeah I wish I was younger, but trust me you won't be the youngest. Don't put it off any longer you're still young.. and going to college guarantees you a good career, not some dead end job!

I'm in college right now. I started at age 20. I'll be 24 when I graduate. There are so many people of all ages that go to college. I see young people, middle-aged people, and old students in classes that I take. I don't know about all universities, but mine has a very diverse student body.

gaining expertise of is in no way a waste of time. Sucide is an somewhat egocentric act and that i wish you reassess it out of appreciate to the those that do love you! there are distinct folk in college who're no longer classic scholars. My dad replaced into 40 years old at the same time as he choose lower back to school. He were given his degree and earns an somewhat good residing. He too felt like you probably did (about being the oldest individual contained in the classification) so he took nighttime instructions. the human beings there have been older and extra concentrated and did particularly nicely and loved it. Granted once you graduate, you wont be able to get particular jobs yet there'll be lots jobs that you may do in spite of a criminal! have you ever idea about getting a job the position you are able to help persons a job in counseling the position you need to indicate others adversarial to doing the various of issues that you probably did once you've been youthful? perhaps you are able to purely go lower back to school to take some employer instructions so as that initiate your own employer the position you need to nicely be your own boss, you need to purchase some backyard mowers and and initiate a backyard care employer or different supplies and initiate a janitorial employer. there are distinct jobs that you'll CREATE for your self. you need to even attain lower back and help some others that are at the moment on your challenge. You commited a robbery! You paid your debt and society has forgiven you (or you does no longer were released). Now it truly is time to do what you may do to make your existence what you want it to be. you may attempt this. Please do no longer kill your self. Others are relying on you. Your question replaced into okay written so it truly is obtrusive that you're not to any extent further stupid. it will be your destiny that you're to help somebody else or a good purchase of someone elses. you may attempt this!

It will be different because of your age, but not necessarily in the way you're thinking.

This may be a good thing. Because of your age you will be much more responsible than the typical college freshman. You're a lot more grown up than everyone else, and this will probably be an advantage for you. You'll be much more focused on your studies and you'll get a lot more out of your education.

Its never too late to go to college. But from what I've heard it gets harder the older you get.

I say that if you want to go to college -- go for it. It will be worth it for your future!

It won't be as drastic as you think. You are still young so it won't be tough to fit in. I had several friends in college who were a few years older. Besides, lots of 4 and 5th year students will be your age (not everyone starts college right away) and most colleges have grad school programs - so its not all 18 year olds running around campus. I say go for it!

It may be different, you may be more mature and able to handle the stress. Good for you! Once you reach 21, age isn't as broad as say when you are 17-18. Think about it...being 17, you would never date someone 20, but being 18 someone 21 isn't that much older. See what I mean? Anyhow, I think you will be successful and I think you should go back!! Good luck!

college is quite a mix of people. all ages, races, religions, etc. however you wanted to classify people their will be plenty similar to you. 22 is not old to start college. really my advice is enroll in four classes next semester. if you dont like it you dont have to stay. but given your time in the work force, you'll probably like it even more than you would have otherwise.

bottom line, DO IT

their is a great saying that finishing college in 4 years is like leaving a party at 10 pm. it doesnt totally relate but maybe you can see it.

SHAME ON YOU for presumimg that AGE makes a limiter on LEARNING! :-o Immediately after graduating from high school and earning my college degree and then having WORKED for 17 years, I re-enrolled in my college "just to fill a life-long dream" to learn a subject that had intriegued me since my 7th grade-year.
My fellow classmates (this 2nd set of courses) eagerly encouraged my continuing throughout the course, even though I was well over 20 years their Senior. - Then I was a "ripe" 38 y.o.

It will be wierd- but if you want to go to college, do it. I have people of varying ages in all of my classes, from 25-50. One of my courses even had a 70 year old! You really are not that far out of the main age frame. Your main advantage is that you can go to the bars as a freshman. You may be one of the oldest people in your class, but most classes have freshman through seniors in them- so you wouldn't stick out.
If you want to go, go on to college, don't let age worry you.

It's never to late to go to college. Today you need all the advantages you can get. A degree will certainly help you reach your goals...so make getting a degree your first goal. It may be a challenge, especially is you also need to work part time ...but in the long run it will be worth it. Employers look at your education and appreciate the dedication and commitment demonstrated to get that degree...My boss, who is now a senior vice president, was in her mid thirties by the time she got her bachelor's in business...do it for yourself, for the satisfaction it gives and for your future...best of luck! You can do it!
