I have a tendency to mistrust the people I work with, who by the way, are a bunch of scheming backstabbers battling for power that doesn't exist. I'm not sure I could change the attitude, I've been here 17 years, and everyone who passes through the division eventually ends up a backstabber. I don't want a supervisory position, I'm good where I am, so why pick on me?

Yes - I'm a procrastinator, although I'm not as bad as I used to be. As for changing - I've been through considerable counseling to deal with some of the underlying issues, and things are looking up.

I have a very strong reaction to children who are being bullied at school. It sets me afire! I would like to maintain my cool but if I think about changing my attitude, it just frustrates me and makes me think about the problem.

I criticize myself too much. I say things to myself that I would not put up with if someone else said them to me. I'm trying to find out what other people do to create a positive outlook and learn from them.

keep reaffirming yourself and telling yourself you want to change.. that's the only way I know how, i think it is VERY hard though, we often have spent a lifetime developing habits, and it is hard to change them. But, I would keep telling myself over-and-over what I want to change--maybe you can con your psyche into changing! Sort of like self-hypnosis
