parallel means it has the same slope. Think about it. If it goes the same way as the other line, it HAS to have the same slope.
y=mx+b is the form that equation is in.
m is the slope.
so -2/3 is the slope.

Wow, wordy question.

In any case, if you look carefully, you'll notice that the equation is in the slope-intercept form (y = mx + b), Therefore, the slope of the line is -2/3. Remember that two parallel lines have the same slope, so the answer should be -2/3.

Here is the equation to use.
y=mx+b

m = the slope

So, in this case, -2/3 is the slope. And, any line parallel to that line will have the same slope.

Parallel Lines have the same slope.

This equation is in slope and y-intercept form
y =mx+b (m = slope, b =y-intercept)

so the slope of the parallel lines is -2/3 !

Slope= -2/3 because m= slope in y=mx+b.

the slope of any parallel line is the same as m in y=mx+b
so the slope of a parallel line is -2/3 regardless of the y-intercept

the slope of a line in this form of equation (y=mx+b) is always m, or the coefeccient of x. in this case, it is -2/3

y= -2/3x + b, where b is any real number other than -1 will be parallel.

That is because the slope is the same, but the y-intercept will be different.

slope is before x

so -2/3
