I am not sure of your question, but any lipids going into a fetus would probably be put into making new cell walls as the phospolipid bi-layer because you can not grow without adding new cells :)

If you mean a baby that already been born, it should go through the digestive tract as usual.

But if you mean a fetus, it will go through the blood from placenta.

For certain polyunsaturated fatty acid, it will help in developing the brain of fetus
