I have been arguing with a friend for days about some college basketball things. #1 I told him that an conference tournament winner recieves an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. He said no thats not true! Its plain and simple if you win you conference tournament you recieve an automatic bid to play in the field of 65! I also explained to him that although most of the time it happens eevry team is not guaranteed to play in their own conference tourney at the end of the year! The 2004 UH cougs did not make it to their conference tourny if I am not mistaken. Will somebody confirm these things for me. Look them up give me a web site with the info or something, but I know these things are facts. Just because you are in a conference does not gurantee you a spot in the conference tourney if you are not competitive in conference doing the regular season. I need somebody to get my back on this!
