after i add someone on AIM, can i straight away IM them if they're online? or they have to add me first?

if they are online, yeah u can IM them... on the other side (if they don't have your s/n), it will say "user (insert s/n) IMed you... do i wish to accept?" (along those lines)... if u let them know that it's u, they will accept and u can have a conversation, regardless of if they add u... if they don't add, they just get the accept message box again...
