surprisingly..more exercise...try an anti-inflammatory..like Advil or aspirin...a warm bath/jacuzzi and some mild cardio exercise..the endorphins will make you feel better...and the lactic acid that has built up in your muscles will be relieved..funny..if you just rest for a few days..you'll be sorer longer...

You'll probably hurt more tomorrow, then get better. Ice and a warm bath afterwards if it's unbearable. Ice will bring the swelling down and the hot bath will help with circulation to repair the muscle faster. Don't take ibuprofen... Drugs(even relatively harmless ones like ibuprofen) should only be taken when you have an injury. You've just overworked your muscles and they'll be fine soon.

Get in the tub and have the water as warm as you can stand it. Put in bath salts or Epsom salt in the water and soak for about 1/2 hour and eat a banana

rest and 600-800mg ibuprofen three times a day. if you have ulcers, acid reflux or get a stomach ache when you take ibuprofen, use tylenol instead.
