Turger pressure is regulated by the ammount of water in the plant's cells. If you don't water it it will begin to wilt because it is no longer being held up from the inside. The opposite is true- during a drought the plants become less ridged and more floppy. Think of one of those giant inflatable moon bounces or sales gorillas- if you let the air out or stop putting more of it in, it colapses, otherwise it is stiff as the internal pressure holds it up by pushing out on the frame.
