Lets say the dog is tied to a stake in the ground in an open yard.The rope is 15 ft.
If the dog starts out from the stake and walks 15 feet north,
Thats 15 feet,
Then he walks back to the stake,thats 15 feet.
15ft.+15ft.=30feet.

cause he at one end with rope tight and then he walk as far as he can til the rope tight again, like the diameter of a circle, with 15 being the radius
