While looking at magazines lately, I've noticed that "anything goes" when it comes to fashion. While most models can look good in a garbage bag, not everyone can get away with it. Are there any huge fashion no - nos that I should try to avoid?

Personal taste aside, the only real rule people absolutely should follow, no matter what, is buying the right sized clothing.

Beyond that, it's a matter of preference. But you really should dress for your body type, and coloring to look your best, no matter what the trends are. Some styles will flatter your body, others won't. Some colors will flatter your own coloring (skin, eyes, hair) and some won't.

leg warmers from the 80s
Uggs
skinny jeans
mid-driff showing tops
ill fitting clothes
not wearing a bra. You can appear to have lost weight with the proper size.

i don't want to see your muffin top waist being squezzed out of your super tight sknny jeans stuff into some lame pair of uggs with your thong under wear showing because your shirt is too short.

I recently visited my hometown in Tennessee and noticed along with my sister EVERYONE is wear those obnoxious leg warmer things. I have never seen them anywhere else just about it but there. You can go for it if you like them, but as far as I'm concerned...FASHION NO-NO!!

I think that you should wear whatever you feel comforatable in. If you see it on the rack and it makes you feel good wearing it then you should be fine. there are certain styles that just don't work for certain people, but you have to experiment personally.

Birkenstocks, open toe sandals with pantyhose, ill-fitting clothing, overalls.

*Never, ever wear overalls.
*Nothing with Old Navy splashed across it (Old Navy is fine but not the gear with their name plastered across it).
*Birkenstocks (no explanation needed)
*Super low-rise jeans with a thong (a whale tail)
