This reference frequently pops up in Mystery Science Theater episodes (I've been going through several of these on Youtube) and in numerous films, such as 'It conquered the Earth', there's a bobsled scene in the short, and they make this goofy comment of "Do you want to go faster?" followed by a cheer of "yeaay!"
What on earth is this from? They use this reference frequently.

Thanks.

I think it refers to an old ride in a carnival or local fair (in any city) where you would sit in this circular rollercoaster thingy, and it starts off slow (rock music in the background blaring), then the ride operator says over the speakers, "do you want to go faster?!" and everyone screams loud and he turns up the speed....and he keeps repeating this until your brain is scrambled....(just a reference to pop culture)

Yup I agree with Renee. We had a ride like this in an amusement park near our town called the Himalaya and they would always say that. I never thought of looking for MST on youtube. Thanks for the idea ;)
