The ultimate success is never making money.. and if you feel obligated to be driven to that, then you may already have a considerable character flaw.

Success in life comes from satisfaction in your acheivments, in your being. Sucess is best measured by the personal goals you strive for and actually acheive. Monterary is often a part of the road to succuess, and to many it is the only goal, but having worked with people for many years from all backgrounds and especially wealthy, I can say those who only acheive monetary success in life, rarely find satisfaction and happiness. happiness to them often comes in small bursts, and they often need ever greater stimulants to even acheive that level of satisfaction within. I know this as i acheived monetary sucess first, became depressed, suicidal and full of hate.. then lost it all and started fresh.. now i am becoming happier than ever before.. and acheiving true goals i thought i had lost forever. I now have more money than when I thought i was sucessful, and yet then I drove the newest BMW now I drive an old ute.

THEN I only wore the latest designer clothing.. now I only wear sales rack discounted old season items.. with the occasional indulgence thrown in..

So the key point of my message is, monetary sucess is only ever a PART of total sucess in life, don't make the mistake of ever focussing only on that otherwise you will either live a miserable life trying.. as you will lack passion for things you do within 5 or so years of failing.. OR you may even become very wealthy but then find yourself empty at that point with nothing left to acheive.. except making more money..

If ever you are unsure of what your true goals should be.. then close your eyes.. and feel.. you will know then what will make you truly happy in life.. and more than likely it will involve helping people and sharing the wonderful sentiments and skills you have with others..

Monetary success is not essential to enjoy a sucessful life.. have a plan for your goals first.. and if you need monetary sucess to acheive those goals.. then plan a way to acheive monetary sucess.. for example if you want to be a doctor with your own clinic.. you will need a lot of money.. not just a doctors degree.. so it's fine to make money on shares or however you can.. to then achevie your goal of having a clinic ot help people.. this would lead to a very rewarding life..

If however you wanted to be a doctor coz you heard it pays well.. and just bummed your way through uni.. scapping and scrimping all the way.. without a clear plan except making money.. you will probably end up a very rich and well paid plastic surgeon or botox "cosmetician".. these are real life scenarios i've experienced..

KEY POINTS FOR SUCCESS:

1) Have GOALS! ie. what do you want to achevie in life and why? if the only reason is to be rich.. re-read the question..
2) HAVE A PLAN!! ie. do you need qualifications? what kind? do you need money? how much? Will you need certain alliances? what experiences will you need? then go for it!! If you plan early and start young.. you wont be as desperate for money later in life to do things.. so get moving ASAP!! do your studies and start getting work experiecnes.. that you will need and then start saving as your income grows.. learn how to save and invest at this point too.. and importantly about fianance and just keep saving.. your plans will start to form and your confidence will grow.. if you keep the smile on your face.. and keep working with passion as you work towards those goals.. one day.. you will start epxeriencing the magic of life..

people WILL start recognising you for good work.. and people will reward you with gold if they are happy..

Believe in people.. and believe in yourself.. and do the work without taking short cuts.. you will not only make money and acheive monetary success beyond your wildest dreams.. but you will likely acheive many other things you never expected..

good luck on your journey

hope it helps..

Sounds like you have an assignment like: "write a 1 page response to this question"

I think it depends very much on the person. Growth in relationships and growth of the self are probably the best measures of success. Most external definitions of success are based on money, things or power. These are fleeting and fickle and not as meaningful as the other factors. Strangely if you manage friends and personal growth, often the money comes with little effort.
If you have debilitating illness, then small victories may mean much more than money. It's all a matter of perspective.

I hope we are not doing your homework for you. I measure success by satisfaction. I work as a grade school librarian and I make very little money. However, I am happy every day to go to work, and feel like sharing my love of books and reading with students is worth more than any money. My sister makes well over $100,000 a year and she complains all the time about her job.Plus, the job she does doesn't make half the impact mine does. I have a chance to change lives!!!

Wow. Um u measure it by how happy u r. U want to be able to look back on your life an be satisfied. You want to know that you made the right choice. To be successful dosen't necesarily mean 2 be rich. Success is being happing and knowing you've gotten what u wanted out of life.

U can expand on that. If u need more just msg or whatever.

Is this for your homework?

Success not measured by $$$ can be measured by personal satisfaction, or goal attainment, or how many people were helped by your efforts.
