im not emo but the kids at my skool tht r get treated badly and ive never understood why

Emo's want people to hate them, or rather pick on them because that way they can cry for the attention they need. They are "Emo"tional and want to be loved because I guess they weren't hugged enough as children or something...all those emo kids today cut their wrists as a way to release their "angst"... when i was growing up (which was like 5 years ago) the only people that cut where in need of serious mental help and today it has become a fad...so sad!

Because they hate themselves. That's the whole idea behind emo. Emo means emotional which is mainly shown as down view on things and the world. They chose to be depressing and down. (People that want to be emo's and not just dress the way.)
Who wants to be around that? I've got too much to live for to listen to someone b---- all the time. Cheer up already.

I don't think they should be treated mean but i do think they are stupid they cry over every little thing they listen to stupid music and this one really pisses me off...they say they want to be "different"than every one else but is you have a group of emo you cant tell the difference between them how is that being different than every one else?

I don't hate emos. What I hate is glorifying self mutilation and other self destructive behaviors. I hate seeing scars from cutting up and down young arms and legs. I hate seeing people glorifying misery instead of living life happy.

i dont know. its all a steryotype crap, i get called emo cuz im going through a hard time at home and im pretty sad. but what? is it a crime to be sad now?!

because by being that way they leave theirselfes expose to attacks... because of what they feel... deep inside many tough guys are emos but they dont have the guts to show it... so they pick at emos to try to reason their thinking

the stereotype that they cut themselves, or that they're always depressed probly has something to do with it. Im not one of those ppl who hate them though

They have a "phobic", so maybe their afraid of them, or just because their not like everyone else they get to pick on them.
