I work at World Vision....so, ya, I know all those kind of statistics. What makes it really sucky is that most of the deaths are totally preventable.

yeh. people die almost every second, HOWEVER, people are BORN almost every second. I once went to this science muesum that showed how many people were in the world at that EXACT second. It was awesome. it lowered then dropped and then lowered showing that people die and are born very often!

I was aware of all of that.....I can feel it sometimes, that's why I can't watch documentaries and movies about the tsunami from 2004, for example. LONG story.....
