breaking the hymen is not virginity... it does not mean you lost your virginity in any culture. some cultures associate it with virginity and will assume if yours has been broken you are no longer a virgin. there is no way to prove for sure if you are a virgin if you have broken your hymen that's why they associated. although you can lose your hymen and or not have one and still be a virgin. some women have and can even lose their virginity and still have an intact hymen because some hymens stretch out of they way. so once again hymen does not = virginity and broken hymen does not = non-virgin. that said what does one do to lose their virginity? inserting objects, fingers things etc into the vagina does not take your virginity. the only thing by definition that takes your virginity is having sexual intercourse... so masturbation is not an activity where you can lose your virginity... nor is using a tampon... or an instead cup... because if that was the case many women going to a gynecologist would lose their virginity from having an internal exam... and they don't. So can everyone say it with me now... a hymen does not guarantee virginity... and virginity is not guaranteed by a hymen. read some proof here if you need it. well, it depends. If you are a guy then no. But if you are a girl you can break the hyman which in some cultures mean you are not a virgin anymore.
