--> this pic was from the Konoha Sports Festival, the 1st movie special, charaters were pretty random -- episode features almost every character in the series at some point in the episode. for example: haku, although he's dead, is seen standing in line at the bathroom, and Naruto even bumps into the fourth hokage in the hallway. that was probably all done for fun&entertainment.

that was probably slightly unintentional. I've seen so many animes where in a crowd of people they show a familiar face that's meant to be a stranger....do you see where i'm going? They can't keep "generating" original faces for a bunch of people in a crowd. And it wouldn't make sense in the first place that the 4th would be there. Either they put it as a joke or for the reason I already listed. ^_^

Wow U can actually spot that?! in an anime..I didnt even realised the 4th was in the anime with naruto :s..that could be his spirit walking in Konoha's village. Yondaime was probably missed naruto (his son) so much so he came down from heaven just to visit Naruto lol

Hey, from whatever episode or OVA is this picture from? It's really cool and funny! I couldn't believe that you could actually spot something like that. Hey, I don't mind those strangers anyway. All I mind is the main characters, the supporting roles and of course, the story or plot.

look the episode naruto sport event. its only ten mins long its just a little comedy episode. naruto sports event on youtube....and yes, hes headed for the jacks!

That was the sports festival thing and everyone was there, itachi, sandaime, kisame, filler characters. It doesnt mean anything.

that was an episode before the started the series. it was about the sport thing.
