The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Commercial and Residential Cleaning Services: A Resource Guide to Developing and Maintaining Your Own Janitorial or Home Cleaning Business by Walter Fenix
* Start Your Own Cleaning Service (Entrepreneur Magazine's Start Ups) by Jacquelyn Lynn
* Cleaning Up for a Living: Everything You Need to Know to Become a Successful Building Service Contractor by Don A. Aslett, Mark L. Browning

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I've never started a company, worked for an office, and i hate to clean, BUT, I would see if there are ads in the papers for companys needing the service. or try cold calling small businesses and as them if they need they service and how much they would pay. I knew a girl that would clean offices and homes and made good money and she worked for herself but it wasn't an official business, just money under that table. Try calling company's that provide the service, maybe get a job there and see what they do and take notes. Networking helps. Hanging out at bars by business that might need the service.

You might do this however it's so much less complicated to get purchasers in need of their residence wiped clean. My mother owns a cleansing industry and places of work have a tendency to do extra study and looking round earlier than they decide upon a manufacturer. People are extra inclined to allow any individual blank their residence nearly immediately which is far quicker and less complicated.

Research companies that are in your area. Copy what they do right. Correct what they do wrong. Have the confidence and commitment to succeed.
