Your computer has a Smitfraud infection. You will need to use a specialised removal tool such as SmitFraudFix v2.2:
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php
or
RogueFix:

To remove this pest.

Even more Smitfraud info. is here:

Good luck.

That sure sounds like SpyWare. Close IE, then open your control panel. Open Internet Options, and reset your home page to something simple like Google.com (change it to what you want, after you clean things up.)

You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

After you completely clean things up, then set the home page to what you really want.

Stop the kids from looking at PORN on your computer. Run a full anti-virus scan.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Look for a program called smitrem. That help you get rid of the spyware taht you have. Also download e-wido to scan your pc. Also before you run smitrem you have to run it in safemode. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

AVG and Norton do not remove thesafetytool.com (at least not yet). Try this link, it tells you all you need to know about thesafetytool.com. You can also get a free scan (but not free removal).

Go to "Tools", "Internet Settings", and type the homepage in the box. Sometimes, it may still not effective.

Try Windows Defender at http://www.download.com/Microsoft-Windows-Defender/3000-12771_4-10598014.html?tag=lst-0-1 (requires validation) or ZoneAlarm at http://www.download.com/ZoneAlarm/3000-10435_4-10550364.html?tag=lst-0-3.

Go to "Tools", "Internet Settings", and type in the homepage you want it to go to when you start it up. Or, better yet, download Mozilla Firefox. It's alot better than IE.

Your computer has been hijacked by http://thesafetytool.com/. this is a very dangerus hijacker now-a-days.

If your computer has been infected with Codec (such as; Perfect Codec, Super Codec, Gold Codec) and hijacked by the http://thesafetytool.com/ then your computer is in a real danger because it does transfer back and forth information from the infected computer which makes it a potential for data theft.
