When it's based on logic, I do trust my judgment. But if my judgment is based on my feelings and emotions, I usually need to get a second opinion.

God created humans with a conscience and in order for us to use that conscience wisely, we need to continue praying to God to guide us in the right direction; otherwise, if we rely completely in ourselves we will make wrong choices because we're imperfect & the heart is treacherous & desparate.
